Recently, we covered everything that interested attendees can expect to see and hear at ProMat 2017, the largest expo for manufacturing and supply chains in North America. Now, we want to help you make the most of the ProMat experience. With over 850 exhibitors, 100 seminars, keynote speakers, and the latest technologies, the whole experience could get a little overwhelming. Unless you can teleport or be in two places at once, you probably won’t be able to do it ALL. So, it’s a good idea to take some time and think about where you will find the most value, and how you can hit the areas that will most benefit your business. Here are some tips to get started.
Get The App
Yup, there’s an app for that. The ProMat 2017 Mobile App (for iPhone, iPod or iPad and Android) lets you quickly view exhibitor information, schedules, conference session, and speaker information and a map of the show floor. So, study it before you or use it once you're there to find the best route to your favorite sessions.
Have a plan
Using the app or the website, you can find information on all the speakers, the sessions, and the products being featured. Choose sessions and plan to see products that align with your goals and plans for the year and don’t waste time on ones that won’t. Prioritize the most valuable booths and sessions first and plan to hit extras if you have time.
Get Social in The Hub
If you want to share your ProMat experience with your social media audience or follow others, The Hub is the place to be. The Hub is an interactive resource center located in booth S2646 of the South Hall floor, and it has been declared a social networking lounge. Attendees can catch the latest social media buzz about the event and take advantage of the wireless internet center to check their email and network with other attendees. You can stay up-to-date with the latest happenings by following @ProMatShow on Twitter and keep others up to speed on your activities by adding the hashtag #ProMat2017 to your tweets. This is a great way to see where others in your industry are finding value within the show.
Even if you’re not online, you can always connect with people the old-fashioned way, face to face. In fact, we recommend it. Don’t just connect with exhibitors and speakers, connect with other attendees. You never know when a new connection might move your business to the next level and what better place to find those connections than at an event filled with like-minded people? You can also use http://www.choosechicago.com/promat2017/ to find out the best places to hit after hours to make additional connections and have a little fun.
By having a plan, getting social, and aligning your show plans to meet your business goals, you can make sure the trip to Chicago for the ProMat trade show is well worth your time and money.
